About Me.

Leading with head, heart, and jeitinho, Rachel Frost is a Brazilian-American actor

who seeks to thoughtfully provoke audiences with her astute and imaginative portrayals.

She started at Los Angeles City College’s Theater Academy Conservatory, where she

originated the role of Sarah in the Sherman Brothers musical Levi! and played Elizabeth

Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. There, she discovered her skills in writing and directing, translating

and premiering the Brazilian play String of Endless Love. After graduating with an Associate’s Degree in

Theater with honors, she studied Brazil’s master playwrights under Professor Harildo Déda. Upon transferring to

UCLA’s School of Theater, Film and Television in 2022, she focused on taking countless acting classes,

made her UCLA debut as a lead in A List of Happenings, was accepted into the competitive Directing Continuum, and dived into in-depth analysis of intersectional and interdisciplinary performance. Using

her minor in Portuguese and Brazilian Studies, she has created thought-provoking art including concrete

poetry and analysis of language origin through theater. This year she is exploring her creativity, taking a

voice-over training course, debating scansion in Shakespeare class, and immersing herself in

psychological analysis of character. She is a two-time Irene Ryan Scholarship nominee, an Amy

Archerd Fellow, and Hugh Downs Performance for Television Award Recipient. Past stage and

short film performances include Rennie in The Most Massive Woman Wins at the Hollywood

Fringe Festival, Leonor in Trouble at Home at Staten Island Shakespearean Co, Anna in the

short film Victoria, and Leah in the short film Living Ghosts. When she’s not on stage,

Rachel can be found cooking dinner with her friends, flying to Brazil to play with her niece,

or at the beach. Her upcoming work includes assistant stage managing the UCLA Main

Stage production of Fairview, directing the American premiere of the Brazilian play

Lisbela and the Prisoner, and graduating with honors in June.
